My name is Nicolás, and I am a professional interpreter and translator based in the beautiful Eje Cafetero (Coffee Growers’ Axis) region of Colombia, with over four years of experience in consecutive interpreting, written translation, and sight translation. I hold a degree in Political Science and International Relations, but found my passion in helping others to bridge cultural and language barriers. As an interpreter, that is exactly what I do. I have worked with various English-speaking clients and companies in industries such as medicine, healthcare, government and social services, emergency first response, education, home and auto insurance, and customer service. Given my academic background, I also have theoretical and practical knowledge in fields such as politics, diplomacy, economy, finances, marketing, social sciences, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Likewise, I have the experience and tools necessary to provide interpretation and translation services in other industries, provided that I am afforded with enough time for an appropriate background investigation and terminology review.
