  • «First and foremost Elizabeth was dealing with extremely technical translations. While I do not speak for her in regards to what (extra) services she may be willing to provide in the future, in my case, equally amazing as her willingness to have studied 20+ highly technical terms in advance, she was actually able to understand them. IMHO she turned out to be a formidably intelligent overachiever who upheld her linguistic job at a scholarly level. Which brings up my second point. She really is as friendly as her picture (at time of writing) implies, but she displayed the highest levels of professionalism. I am familiar with the high level of front-line customer service professionalism expected from a telecom company with 3 million+ customers as I used to work for one, and she did not come short, either with technical points like stuttering or saying "um" a lot, nor with general expressions of appearing to be emotionally engaged, self-initiated and taking control, sincerely caring about the quality and flow of the meeting. I'd have to describe it as...if I couldn't see her face, I'd think she was Japanese. I am not racist: I am merely pointing out that I and many people have observed a certain level of humility in the Japanese people, and despite Elizabeth's warmth and motivation to (and aptitude in) maintaining what I can only describe as a perfect dialogue, she comes across as someone exceedingly humble and polite. She has even mastered sitting in seiza position for more than one hour. To conclude, to the general prospective client, I would write in as practical a way as I can think of: as long as you allow her to ask ~some~ clarification questions at a very low frequency of around once out of 15 to once out of 20 rounds of translations, I am convinced that it is *impossible* for her to be unable to make both parties understand each other with crystal clarity EVEN AMIDST A CONTEXT OF EXTREMELY HIGH TECHNICALITY. For me personally, what struck me most was her ability to repeatedly memorize 6+ clauses at a time, and translate them all in one go, making the flow of the conversation unbelievably smooth. If anyone actually reads this, I don't think you'll be disappointed with Elizabeth. I for one was not in the slightest.»
