I have worked in the field of translation and interpretation for more than 15 years, in different areas such as sports federation, courts, TV, military, and education. I can offer translation, interpretation, and editing and proofreading services for reasonable rates. I'm located at the moment in Riyadh, KSA, but I can also relocate.

I got my PhD in comparative literature covering modern Arabic Egyptian drama and African drama written in English. I also published a paper on the translation challenges of translating Arabic poetry into English from a cultural approach. I have extensively depended on Arabic, my native language, in my academic studies. I taught a course in Arabic at Loughborough University in 2008. I In my most recent job at Al-Imam Mohamed Ibn Saud Islamic University, I have joined a team of translators and we work in a joint project between Al-Imam Mohamed University and the Haramin (Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia) Administration in which the weekly Friday khutbah (sermon) is translated, edited and uploaded on the website of the Haramin. The text of these sermons consists mainly of a religious discourse which is similar to classical Arabic writings in style, language diction, structure, and sophistication. I have extensively trained to transcribe the intertextuality of the texts which the Imams (person delivering the sermon) employ in the sermons as they quite often quote from all sources available in Arabic; the Holy Qur'an, the Hadith, the medieval writings on theology and interpretation, poetry, and prose of avant-garde Arab philosophers. I also teach comparative literature to MA students at the college of Languages and Translation at Al-Imam Univerity.
