High School “ Escuela Secundaria Técnica No. 9” in México City from 1982- 1984 Besides of being a regular high school Técnica No.9 offered special classes as workshops like: carpenter, electrician, secretary, architectural drawing, dress making and design among others. I chose the last one which I study during 3 years. (1) There I learned the basics of design, drawing, cutting fabrics, sewing by hand and machine, measuring, elaborate patterns, assemble fabric pieces and history of fashion. (2) By the second year I participated in a dressmaking contest at state level. Competing with 23 teams from different schools winning 2nd place. The contest consisted in making a casual dress for a teenager in cotton with lace applications, from taking measurements, elaborate patterns, cutting fabric, sewing and detail finishing. (3) Before that was basic education.:

Conalep, College. Study Pattern Making/ Grading/ Clothing Design. Learned how to draw sketches for clothing design, make paperboard patterns and grading them to tailor them to better fit using dress forms. Learned to select fabrics, sew by hand and machine. As well as how to cut and assemble fabric pieces, examining ready-made garments or fashion books to come up with new design ideas. :

Studied 2.5 years “High dressmaking (Haute Couture)” at Corregidora de Queretaro University. Haute couture is fashion that is constructed by hand from start to finish, made from high quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.:
