Going forward, I am looking to engage in and take on more challenging roles and assignments on contract basis that require very strong organisational skills with a blend of bilingual aptitude, clarity of purpose and a sense of professional responsibility and integrity. A seasoned bilingual communications professional with over 15 years’ experience in international business development services, and with a focus on information and communications research, retrieval, management, and analysis (in English- and French-speaking Africa). 17 years’ experience teaching English as a second language to Francophones and Lusophones with in- depth focus on bilingual professional communication skills development (phonetics, comparative grammar, document elaboration, reading comprehension, etc.) 14 years’ experience in consecutive/simultaneous conference interpretation (+600 hours of in-booth experience) and reporting 15 years’ experience in translation of Technical & Business documentation (French to/from English) with focus on Terminology, Syntax and Structure Diplomatic experience, with 7 years working contacts in both public- and private-sector organisations in East and West Africa (Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Togo, Burkina-Faso, Benin, Kenya)
