Hello my name is Alex Quintana I have been working as a Spanish Interpreter for more than 20 yrs. I worked for different companies as a Freelance Interpreter and for various entities like Medical, Customer Service, Legal, Social Services just to mention a few.
I started interpreting at a young age to be able to pay for my college tuition and then I kept interpreting as a career. While working for a production company in Burbank, California I also did dubbing, voice over and subtitling. At the present time I do mostly consecutive interpretation and simultaneous. Before deciding on a career, when I went to college, I took 2 semesters in psychology which help me understand human behavior and way of thinking. I believe that every day you learn something new, being an Interpreter I learned a lot about different cultures and idioms used in the Hispanic culture., and since I was raised in California I am also very familiar with the American culture and slang.
