I am a 38 year-old Italian-American aviation mechanic. I enjoy translating during my free time to make extra cash. I mostly work as an airframe and powerplant mechanic; however, I also have been working as a translator since I was very young. I was born to an Italian mother and American father and grew up speaking, reading and writing both since a very young age. I began translating and working as an interpreter at a young age since I lived near an American air force base in Italy. It was a good way to make extra cash and to know people. I also enjoyed serving my community and making myself useful. When I turned 18 I left Italy and joined the U.S. Army though I continued to translate documents and small literary works on the side. I stopped working as an interpreter, however I have kept up with my language skills through staying in touch with my family which spreads across three continents. My work as an airframe and powerplant mechanic has given me the opportunity to travel extensively and I have visited the middle east and resided there for quite some time. Due to this I have learned and become familiar with the Arabic language. I hope to get the opportunity to improve my understanding and dexterity in this new language that I am still learning, though proficient in it.
