Advocacy (Within Professional Limits) - Ensuring patients’ concerns are heard and acknowledged. - Politely intervening when misunderstandings or potential patient rights issues arise (while maintaining neutrality). 7. Community Resource Navigation - Directing patients to additional services like: - Social services - Insurance enrollment assistance - Mental health resources - Transportation for medical visits 8. Training and Education - Providing (cultural competency training) for healthcare staff. - Assisting in training new interpreters or acting as a mentor. 9. Telehealth Support - Facilitating remote interpreting through video or phone. - Helping clients access and navigate telehealth platforms.
