【Profile】 After earning a degree in English literature and studying in England for four years, I worked as a customer service manager at foreign-affiliated companies. I later became a freelance translator specialising in the automotive and machinery fields (700+ projects) and have over 20 years of experience as an interpreter and translator. I also taught advanced automotive translation at a professional school. Certified in Medical English Interpretation and earned an MA in International Studies (TESOL) in 2023. I am willing to do presentation translation as well as other translations prior to the meeting upon request. As a professional translator, I have Trados and other translation tools. Please find my offer below. 【Fee】 My minimum fee is JPY 24,000 for a half day (up to 4 hours) per assignment, with an additional charge of JPY 6,000 per extra hour (charged in one-hour increments). Please note that any time exceeding a full hour (e.g., 4 hours and 15 minutes) will be rounded up to the next full hour. Transportation costs will be charged separately (I am based in central Tokyo). 【Area】 For assignments outside Tokyo, an additional fee of JPY 6,000 per day will be charged. 【Working Time】 Working time includes pre-meetings, the assignment itself, lunch breaks, and short breaks. If meals are required for dinners or events, I would appreciate it if the cost of food and drinks could be covered. 【Reservation】 Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. While the requested dates are currently available, availability may change by the time the booking is confirmed. 【Payment】 Payment can be made via credit card through the platform, or in cash or via Wise on-site. Please note that international wire transfers are not accepted. In addition, I am unable to accept assignments related to finance, investment, or IT, as these are outside my areas of expertise.
