2014 – Present: Interpreter-Translator (Arabic/English & English/Arabic) at the United Nations High. Commissioner for Refugees (UNCHR) - Full Time. United Nations. Position responsibilities: Translate and Interpret from Arabic into English & vice-versa, accurately and professionally, in timely manner, documents in relation to registration (REG), refugee status determination (RSD), resettlement (RST), community services, and other protection purposes for the UNHCR Representation in Thailand; Interpret during REG/RSD/RST/CS/Protection seekers/refugees. When requested and with prior approval from RSD Officer, carry out interpretation for other UNHCR Offices/staff members and/or delegations of resettlement countries in Bangkok; Interpret in the context of various Protection information sessions, briefings, training, and related sessions including on best interest determinations, etc; When instructed by immediate Supervisor, interpret telephone inquiries made by Arabic speaking asylum seekers/refugees/phone callers;
